When? Newborn sessions are best within the first week or two- I know it can be tough to get out of the house, but it is worth it. These images are of baby Sophie who was 6 days old and awake for the entire session!

Why? You will be shocked how quickly newborns lose that "new" look- their wrinkly skin fills out, their eyes open wide, their tiny fingers are soon pudgy. Catch that newness in the first two weeks and you'll have it forever.

How? Weekday sessions are always available and take very little time. If the studio is just too daunting Ruth can make a house call and photograph the new parents and baby in total comfort.

This three generation portrait is sure to be cherished for years to come. Think about including grandparents or siblings to celebrate the newest addition.
